About DOE

Our History

By 2005 there was a proliferation of substandard parts being imported into South Africa. The directors of Argus Motor Company, which was established in 1955, realized that there was a need for a range of quality parts at affordable prices required for the South African market.

It was decided to source a range of parts from factories that are ISO & TS compliant.

The Brand D.O.E was independently registered, and the name was derived with the intention of making available DEFINITLY ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT quality parts.

At first Fan & Multi Groove belts and Radiator & Fuel hoses were introduced and was immediately successful

10 years down the line D.O.E has been accepted in the market place as a brand that is trusted. Over the years more categories of parts have been added, including fuel pumps, globes, switches, etc

The DOE comprehensive cooling catalogue can be found and is used in most leading part retailers

Products bearing the bright DOE logo can be seen on the shelves of most leading independent part retailers and is fitted by workshops that take a pride in their workmanship.

Products returned for a warranty claim must be returned with all relevant parts and necessary documentation, in order to determine whether, or not, the failure was due to defective material or workmanship. If a product is found to be defective, the replacement product warranty will be for the duration of the remainder of the original warranty period

Incorrect installation or interchanges, misuse, damage by foreign objects, oil, fuel or chemical contamination, extreme operating conditions, modifications and incorrect applications can cause Mechanical Failure, Consequential Damage or Personal Injury and will invalidate all Warranties.
